These two wings stem from two different Marian shrines. This wing belongs to the Madonna from Røldal (see no. 8) and features several scenes from the history of the Virgin birth of Christ: the meeting between Mary and Elizabeth above, and two of the Three Kings below. To the left of the Virgin Mary in the upper section was a now-lost Virgin from the Annunciation. These representations indicate that the wing sat on the left of the Virgin, so that the kings faced the central sculpture.
This wing originates from Odda. It is fragmented but has preserved a great deal of its original colouring. The gilded background shows the vestiges of relief figures, revealing that it carried the same representations as the wing from Røldal.
